I am BLOWN away by the greatness of my LORD;
Opening my Bible today, I found myself reading Psalm 18 again and asking God to show me something new, since I felt like I had been reading this over and over. And WOW, let me tell you, He did!
I always had loved verse 2: The Lord is my rock and fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and my horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Yet, as I continue to read, I find myself being blown away by what else the Lord is.
The Lord is worthy to be praised. 18:3
The Lord is my support. 18:18
He rescued me because He delighted in me, the Lord rewarded me. 18:20,24
The Lord has delivered me. 18:43
This list is just a small picture of the Lord, yet I'm in total awe.
For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord MY God lightens my darkness... For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? The God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. 18:28, 31-32.
