Praise Jesus, the semester has finally come to a cease and I can start to really enjoy my short summer break before work starts up again. I've traveled out to LA with Jonny for a family reunion and am headed back up to Seattle for the week. Oh how I've missed green trees, fresh air and hills. I wanted to share a few pictures of my time in California with y'all!

I am in constant reminder of God's faithful promise through James. Finals week is quickly approaching, well I have two this week and two next Monday and Tuesday. Although my to-do list is a mile long and the hours in the day are against me, I have hope that these trials will produce perseverance and blessings because the Lord loves me. He delights in me.

It's been almost a year since my last post... I'm not sure what happened, it's like I just fell off the blogging bandwagon... Anyways, I'm sorry about that and am making it a new goal for my 21st year of life to keep up with my blog!

A name change?!
Yes, I decided to change the name of my blog as well as vamp it up a bit. I'm just finishing my first semester in the Education department at Illinois State University and well, am so passionate about teaching and becoming an educator that it's time to spice up the blog. I am so ready to be a teacher and finding/following many teacher blogs has inspired me to blog my adventures.

And yes, I'm still going to post on things other than teaching... maybe ; )

College softball is on T.V. Best Night Ever.

I LOVE SOFTBALL! Being an ex college player - due to an injury - softball is near and dear to my heart. I will do nothing for the next three weekends just to watch the college world series. :)

1. First off, today is my mom's birthday! Happy Birthday Momma! She is the most special woman in my life and I love her dearly. She's such an inspiration and woman of God, I strive to be like her every day and hope that one day I can be half the woman that she is. I love you mom!

2. I finally went and got a pedicure on Wednesday with two of my dear friends. I wore some super cute wedges that I found at TJ-Maxx, great right?! Except for the fact that I couldn't wear them out and had to wear these lovely green foam flip-flops from the salon :)
