Ornaments Galore and #12daysofblogging

12/10/2013

Hello friends! Day two of #12daysofblogging

Of course I couldn't just pick one ornament that was special, it was too hard. So instead I wanted to share two themes of ornaments that hold a special place in my heart. Like I said yesterday, Christmas is kinda a big deal in our home, especially when it comes to decorating the tree. We all have our own ornaments that we put up and every year we wait patiently for the new ornament that will be in our stocking Christmas morning.

One: Initial Ornaments
Just like monograms are all the rage, our initial ornaments are always in our stockings. The past few years we've been getting these precious cookie ones. I wish I could remember the years for these, so I'm going to have to write to start writing the date on the back.

A few years back we all got these glitzy ones, they're adorable and I LOVE the cursive font.

Two: Snow Babies
I started collecting Snow Babies for a few years because of one snow baby my mom has that is so delicate and beautiful. I always look forward to putting them on the tree and find the sturdiest branch since they're so dang heavy.

What ornament or ornaments hold a special meaning on your tree?

  1. I am a huge fan of the cookie letter ornaments. They are cookies I can splurge on and don't have to feel guilty about in the morning. I've picked different "flavors" up that past few years and then took a sharpie and wrote the date and a little note on the back. I've never heard of snow babies before, how adorable. I shared about my favorite ornaments today too, loving the Christmas season this year.
