High Five For Friday!

1/17/2014

Can I get a praise God it's the weekend?! Holy moly, this has been a LONG week, but I have a four day weekend thanks to no class today and MLK day Monday! Like usual I'm linking up with Lauren again for another installment of High Five For Friday. So, let's get started!

1. One of my Christmas gifts from Jonny this year included a Starbucks gift card and this adorable
travel tumblr. It is pearl white and glamorous! Plus, it keeps my chai tea hot for hours at a time! Seriously, my mom has the same mug but in blue and let me tell you, I can make my drink at 7am before work and it will still be hot at 10 when I get to class. Yes. That is straight truth. Y'all need one in your life if you drink and travel regularly!

2. First week of classes! Besides that fact that I'm exhausted and out of school shape (we've had a month long break) I'm loving my classes this semester! My Monday's and Wednesday's are pretty long with two two hour classes, Teaching Elementary Math and Reading Literacy and Language Arts in the Elementary School . Tuesday's and Thursday's I added Teaching Theater for Children which will put me WAY out of my comfort zone and then the largest lecture I've been in, Human Biology... I am excited for a new start and a new beginning in the Honors Program!

3. I think I could post every week about my sweet little puppy, but Riley seriously is the highlight of my day, every day! I think I should consider him for #pupsofinstagram?

4. Jonny and I made it a goal this year to read through the Bible in year together. This week it has been such a blessing, even though we haven't been able to Skype to read the few chapters together, we've still been able to talk about it and pray together. When Jonny and I first started dating four years ago, we'd call ourselves Christian and him Catholic at the time but not really living the holiest of lifestyle. Ever since the Lord has redeemed us and our relationship I can boldly say, our relationship is not what is today with the Lord Jesus Christ in the center of it. And, not only our individual growth with God, but our growth together is something that makes my heart happy day after day. Jesus is good to my soul.

5. Good conversations, good chai and a good friend. Wednesday in between classes I was finally able to get coffee with my sweetest friend Paiton after not seeing her all break. Yikes, I felt like we had years to catch up on even though we a. were only gone a few weeks and b. still texted during the break... too bad we both had class or we probably would have closed the place down!

How was your week?

P.S. I forgot to mention... GO HAWKS :)

  1. Faith, that's super neat to hear about your guys' walk with God! I know that when we were long distance reading the same thing in the Bible made our relationship SO much deeper!
